RandomScience does not require user registration or accounts. We do not ask for or store names, email addresses, billing info, or personal identities. Scores and streaks are processed client-side or in anonymous session cookies.
3. Third-Party Services & Ads
We implement Google Tag Manager and Google AdSense in compliance with Google Consent Mode v2. These third-party providers may collect standard diagnostic server logs (such as user-agent, IP, and referring URL) to prevent fraud and deliver relevant ads.
4. Children's Privacy, UK Children's Code & COPPA Statement
In strict compliance with the UK Age Appropriate Design Code (Children's Code), UK GDPR, and the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA):
- Zero Profiling of Children: We do not require registration, personal accounts, or data collection from children to practice science quizzes.
- Child-Directed Treatment & Non-Personalized Ads: Pages dedicated to young learners (
/kids) automatically flag Google AdSense with TFCD (Tag for Child-Directed Treatment) and TFUA, serving only contextual, non-personalized ads (NPA) without behavioral tracking. - Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA): We have conducted a Children's Code DPIA ensuring high default privacy settings, zero geolocation tracking, and absence of nudge mechanics.
